Welcome. If you're reading this, you're not just making things — you're building something.

This is the front door. It's the first guide we hand a new artist, and it does two jobs: get your work minted and living on the XRP Ledger, and get you connected to the people who will actually see it. Work through it in order and you can be properly set up in an afternoon.

🎨 Your first week as an XRPL artist

Six steps, in this order. Each one links to the full guide if you want the detail.

1. Connect your wallet

   You'll need an XRPL wallet such as Xaman connected to XRPL Home before anything else. That wallet is your identity, your payout address, and your signature on every mint you ever make.

2. Decide where the piece lives

   Collections are how a collector finds the rest of your work after falling for one piece. Choose an existing collection or create a new one — XRPL Home manages the issuer and taxon underneath so you don't have to. See setting up collections on XRPL.

3. Mint your first piece

   Upload the artwork (JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, usually under 10MB), confirm you created and own it, and choose Human-Created, AI-Assisted, or AI-Generated — collectors see that as provenance. Then give it a name, an artist name, and a description. The full walkthrough is in how to mint an NFT on XRPL.

4. Set your royalty

   At Review & Mint you set a creator royalty between 0% and 50%, which you receive on eligible secondary sales across XRPL-compatible marketplaces. Most artists land in single digits — the royalties and pricing guide covers how to pick a number you won't regret.

5. Make your presence look like you

   A consistent name, avatar, and description voice do more work than most artists expect. Fifteen minutes with the branding guide pays for itself the first time somebody lands on your page.

6. Join the CommUnity

   Minting is the easy part. Being found is the work — and that's what the rest of this guide is about.

As a Dood artist you choose how you support your holders using $DOOD. There are no strict rules, just options:

You stay in control at all times. Pick one, start small, and be consistent about it — consistency is what collectors actually notice.

A simple example

You sell a piece for 50 XRP. You take a small portion, say 5 XRP, and use it to buy $DOOD, then either reward your holders with it or burn a share. Simple, repeatable, and entirely your call. It isn't a promise of price or return to anyone; it's a way of routing part of a sale back to the people who backed you.

Now versus what's coming

Right now most of this is manual — rewards sent by hand or with simple scripts. Dood Labs is building the automated version for the CommUnity: auto rewards, tracking, artist tools, and collector features, made about as complicated as ticking a checkbox.

1. Add the badge to your bio

   Put 🔋 by $DOOD™ where collectors can see it. It's the signal people already scan for.

2. Set up your $DOOD trustline

   A trustline lets your wallet hold $DOOD. If you've never set one up, ask — someone in the CommUnity will walk you through it in a couple of minutes.

3. Ask for your artist channel

   Reach out and we'll get your channel set up along with your first steps on rewards. Then it's yours to fill.
