From a Scribble to Structure: the evolution of DOOD

No funding, no roadmap document, no marketing agency — just a doodle room and a community. How DOOD went from a scribble to an LLC, a trademark, and a set of creative tools.

There's something different about stepping back and realising what was built from nothing.

DOOD didn't start with a business plan. There was no funding. No marketing agency. No roadmap document.

It started with a line. A scribble. A doodle. Just an idea and a blank canvas.

It started with CommUnity

The CommUnity Project came first. It was simply a home — a place for verified artists and projects to gather, learn and grow together. It didn't matter if you were brand new to XRPL or one of the real OGs.

Some of those people became mentors. Some became peers. Some became friends. Some became family.

CommUnity wasn't branding. It wasn't positioning. It was people.

Community has always been the roadmap. Not a slogan — the actual direction.

The doodle room

DOOD started as a doodle room. People literally just drew together for fun. No expectations, no tokenomics spreadsheets, no big vision. Just creativity.

Inside those early doodles, Dood and the el Dood band were born. The main face was created by UberSlim, with other characters coming to life through the community.

Seeing someone go from "I just doodle" to "I'm an artist" is humbling. Those doodles turned into mints. Those mints turned into charity.

Charity is why this started

When DOOD first joined XRPL, there was a lot of talk about what people would do for humanitarian causes once XRP mooned.

Why wait? Why not do it now?

So they did. Art was sold and proceeds donated. That mindset never left. Giving back and building trust covers how that works in practice.

Structure matters

This wasn't about hype cycles. It was about building something real.

  • DOOD became an LLC.
  • The DOOD trademark was filed.
  • Physical products launched.
  • A portion of the CommUnity supply was locked — not flashy, just intentional.
  • Over 20 billion $DOOD burned so far.

No disappearing acts. No narrative shifts. Full transparency. That consistency earned DOOD verification on First Ledger — not requested, earned.

You can copy visuals. You can't copy heart. DOOD was never built to extract — it was built to create. Authenticity shows over time.

Creation for everyone

Over 677 Noggins were created by community members. The Noggins Creator was built so anyone could create, mint, keep their art and sell it, with funds going directly to them. No gatekeeping.

Seeing collectors buy pieces purely because they loved the art, not because of the name behind it — that's real.

The toolset grew: Dood-el pixel art, Dot-Dood Creator, the Meme Generator, the Noggins Creator. Then came DoodBoard, the Vault, the XRPL Artist Bot and Dood Bids. Each wallet experiences DOOD differently, because participation is the utility. (The current toolset is covered in the DOOD creative tools.)

Beyond the screen

DOOD expanded into music — the first official DOOD music video dropped. All-natural grooming products launched. Web3 met Web2 in a real way, from meme to merchandise, digital to physical.

Collaboration

There were collaborations across the XRPL and beyond. Artists from other chains came in. Communities connected. Tools were shared. CommUnity stayed the foundation.

When builders collaborate, ecosystems grow.

Forward

From a scribble, with no guarantees and no expectations, came a brand. An LLC. A trademark. Tools. Artists empowered. Real products. Charity funded. Collaborations formed.

DOOD is not just a meme. It's a platform for creators. It's infrastructure for participation. It's proof that community can lead the build.

We are more than doodles. We are builders. We are artists. We are collectors. Community has always been the roadmap.

Key takeaways

  • CommUnity came before DOOD — a home for verified artists and projects, not a branding exercise.
  • DOOD began as a doodle room where people drew together for fun.
  • Charity was the starting point: sell art, donate proceeds, don't wait for a bull market.
  • 2026 brought structure — an LLC, a filed trademark, physical products and locked supply.
  • Over 677 Noggins were created by community members, with funds going directly to them.
